We make it easy. No adding up pounds and ounces! Our standard Ground shipping charge is 10% of the total if your order is over $60.00; this is almost always less than what UPS or FedEx actually charge, and it's easy to calculate.

For orders totalling less than $60.00, the minimum shipping charge of $6.00 applies. Resources for Reading has no minimum order, unlike many other companies. However, we must impose a minimum shipping charge even on very small orders. We don't want to prohibit small orders, but we have to charge you for what it costs to process them, or we won't be in business for very long

We prefer to use UPS or FedEx whenever possible, because both UPS and FedEx provide on-line tracking of your shipment. The Post Office doesn't yet provide any way to track a package unless shipped by Express Mail. Don't even ask how much that costs!.

There is an additional carrier-imposed "Address Correction" charge of $5.00 per package for any shipment which is "undeliverable as addressed", so please be sure to double-check the ship-to address before you submit your final order.

On orders to street addresses within the 48 continental United States, we use our choice of UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. All other orders are shipped by U.S. Mail. At your request, and at additional cost, we can ship your order by another method you specify.

For orders sent by all other methods, including UPS Air, U.S. Mail, Federal Express, etc., actual shipping charges will be added to the invoice and charged to your credit card. These charges may be more than our standard 10% charge for UPS Ground, sometimes very much more.

Resources for Reading can ship your order worldwide. All Customs or other import duties and fees are your responsibility, and we are unable to include these fees in our invoice or on your credit card charge.

Please note: by law all orders to APO and FPO addresses must go by U.S. Mail, and can not be shipped by UPS or Federal Express. The final delivery overseas is via Military Mail, which is "Space Available". That means that the delivery time is highly variable, and is completely beyond our control!

ALSO NOTE that due to USPS restrictions, some large items such as easels can not be shipped by U.S. Mail, and must be shipped by one of the other methods, even to APO/FPO addresses. You must provide a valid local street address for delivery, and we must ship by another shipping method, such as UPS Worldwide, FedEx International, or DHL. We support our overseas representatives, but the US Post Office sometimes does not.
