Word Mask with slider lets you adjust the both the width and the height of the opening in the mask. Teachers have used sliding word masks for many years to eliminate "noise" on the printed page and allow the student to focus on a single word or part of a word. Our unique and exclusive design (patent pending) works to isolate any size printed text, from the smallest print to large print in big books.
First, adjust the vertical slider to accomodate the print size in the book you are using. Then pull the horizontal slider to reveal parts of words (chunks, syllables) or to gradually add words to a sentence. The opaque white mask measures 6" square, so it covers all the printed text on the page of most K-1 level books.
